Why My Clients Recommend Coaching
I work with clients ranging from students starting out on their career journey, middle managers stepping into new roles or new directions and leaders at the height of their careers wrestling with uncertainty and challenges that leadership brings. I have always loved meeting and working with people from all backgrounds and cultures and I am fortunate to be able to work with clients from many locations through video conference whether they are in UK, US, EU , Africa or Australia - I am flexible to work with all time zones.

I always ask my clients at the end of our time together, why they would recommend coaching to others and you may find this useful as you consider if coaching is something for you.

“A coach will benefit anyone, no matter where you are in your career. We all have strengths but importantly, we also all have areas to improve on and blind spots about how we perform in and outside of work. The sessions can open these areas for discussion and support you with direction on this. I would also say you should commit to the process and put in the time needed for self-improvement. It's not about receiving advice but about unlocking your own potential with Jo’s guidance.”

“My biggest concern at the very start was that I wasn't going to be a good candidate for coaching because I didn't know what I wanted to get out of it. I would say to anyone who is considering taking on a coach that it's not about knowing why coaching appeals to you - trust yourself to follow your instincts
and the rest will reveal itself.”

“In the dynamic and often tumultuous waves of today’s corporate seas, finding one’s compass and navigating toward a future that is not only successful but also personally fulfilling can seem like a daunting task. It is against this backdrop that I had the fortune to engage with Jo as my executive coach—a decision that has since proven to be a pivotal point in my career. I am writing to share my experience and wholeheartedly recommend Jo for anyone looking to rediscover their professional path and seize control of their career trajectory.”

“I’d recommend to first take a moment after your first session and think about the coach themselves — Is this someone you can respect and respond to? Did they listen to you? What kind of questions did they ask? Did you walk away from your first conversation with something useful? Did you click? If not, then perhaps try someone else but don’t think yet that coaching may not be for you. I played sports in school, so I went in expecting something similar to my coaches there, and it’s pretty much the same. Once you find someone you click with, go all in with their approach and suggestions and see how you feel after a few sessions. ”

“It is very lonely at the top, and frank discussions are rare with a risk of going in circles surrounded by the playback of your own opinions from your team. I find coaching critical to step back and reflect on the alignment of strategies and action plans with deeper value and company goal. Also, having a trusted accountability partner helps stay on track and measure progress and reinforce confidence and determination. Jo provides such a trusted space as well as a natural instinct for challenging, mind/opening questions. ”
